We are in search of enthusiastic and collaborative Family Medicine physicians who have a passion for academic medicine and a commitment to patient-centered care.
The Graduate Medical Education Department at Ochsner Health supports a robust array of ACGME accredited residency programs, ensuring a solid academic foundation for the residency. Patient care will be provided in both outpatient and inpatient environments through St. Tammany Health System.
Our state-of-the-art Family Practice Clinic is designed to foster an exceptional learning and patient care environment. The facility includes numerous exam rooms, procedure rooms, a physical therapy gym, and dedicated spaces for resident and faculty collaboration. This clinic will serve as the central hub for the residency, facilitating both patient care and educational activities.
Key Features of the Position:
- Four half-days per week dedicated to clinic duties, four half-days for resident precepting, and two academic half-days each week unless engaged in inpatient service.
- This is a salaried position with no productivity requirements.
- Newly constructed clinic facility.
- Guidance from an experienced Program Director.
- Involvement in both inpatient and outpatient care.
- No inpatient call responsibilities.
- Flexible scheduling options available.
- Utilization of EPIC EMR with comprehensive support staff.
- Ten days of paid Continuing Medical Education (CME) with a generous annual stipend.
- Family Medicine Obstetrics (FMOB) Physicians are encouraged to apply.
