Position Summary

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Role Purpose: The Automated Press Operator is responsible for running automated production lines, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate production lines according to specified requirements.
  • Conduct pre-production equipment inspections and monitor operations to ensure proper functionality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and measure against specifications using appropriate tools.
  • Accurately report production metrics in accordance with company protocols.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of production errors.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to manage raw materials and components.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with equipment setups and changeovers.
  • Experience with loading coils is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Capability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Prior experience operating metal stamping presses is preferred.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
