Job Overview

As a key member of the Altaquip team, the Route Driver plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe operation of our motor vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate company-provided trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company policies and DOT regulations.
  • Pick up and deliver units from stores to shops for repairs and back again once repairs are completed.
  • Accurately track all units via pickup and delivery logs, obtaining required sign-offs on all units.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and their team members.
  • Utilize and comply with driver IT tools and administrative requirements.
  • Train and mentor less experienced Service Representatives.
  • Ensure trucks are clean, organized, and in compliance with DOT and maintenance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Safely operate company-provided vehicles.
  • Be able to read and write the English language.
  • Meet all Department of Transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Route Driver will be measured by the accuracy of reports, store representative feedback, and route efficiency. This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
