Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu products to specification, including making prep recipes and labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items for the line.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including performing opening, closing, and side duties, setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep, and line stations.
  • Practice safety and sanitation standards, including having a sense of urgency and properly reading items printed on order tickets or automated Kitchen Display System.
  • Assemble orders, double-checking product quality and specs, and demonstrate impeccable product knowledge.
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers and Front-of-the-House staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Food safety certification program completion, if required by location.

Skills:

  • Ability to remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
  • High level of organization, attention-to-detail, and sense-of-urgency.
  • Positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move throughout the Corporate office and Cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance.
  • Follow all uniform guidelines.
  • Practice all general safety & sanitation standards.
  • Recycle products, where possible.
