Role Summary:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in underwriting and managing portfolios for clients in the Diversified Industries sector, which includes Consumer, Retail, Environmental Services, Engineering, and Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior portfolio managers in the credit evaluation and oversight of Non-Investment Grade corporate credits, particularly in the Consumer & Retail and Environmental Services sectors.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on new transactions and regularly assess existing loan portfolios.
- Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and necessary credit applications, focusing on corporate, regulatory, and industry risks, as well as historical and projected performance.
- Perform financial modeling to support the credit application process and scheduled reviews.
- Facilitate communication of account information across various departments within the organization.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of the industries represented in the portfolio, including technical and regulatory aspects.
- Oversee due diligence during facility closings, including documentation.
- Participate in client and bank meetings as required.
- Engage in special projects as assigned.
Advanced Credit Solutions:
Collaborate within a deal team environment, working alongside Global Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, and Capital Markets to support the development and analysis of financing structures and strategies.
Policy Compliance and Deal Advocacy:
Ensure adherence to policy and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics (CFA and/or MBA preferred).
- Completion of a formal credit training program at a major financial institution is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution, accounting firm, or rating agency, focusing on corporate risk and credit analysis.
- Strong skills in financial analysis and modeling.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently while managing multiple assignments effectively.
Compensation:
The typical base salary for this position ranges from $120K to $145K, depending on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also qualify for discretionary performance-based bonuses and incentive compensation.
