PET-CT Technologist Job Description

At Texas Oncology, we are seeking a skilled PET-CT Technologist to support our Dallas location. This role will involve performing diagnostic PET imaging procedures, collaborating with medical directors, and adhering to our compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform PET imaging procedures, including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and administration of oral contrast.
  • Collaborate with medical directors on technical issues and equipment performance.
  • Support and adhere to our compliance program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Assist with procedure scheduling and front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information and report distribution.
  • Provide protection for patients and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance.
  • Report malfunctions and need for service to the proper company or facility.
  • Responsible for patient data and films, including printing, archiving, retrieval, and network data transfers.

Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience.
  • General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT certification and state licensure where applicable.
