Position Summary

The Auto Processing Terminal Operations Manager will oversee both operational and financial aspects of our facilities. This role involves leading and coordinating terminal activities, which encompass customer relations, scheduling, employee management, budgeting, staffing, safety protocols, and achieving production targets.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $150,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the processing of high volumes of vehicles in accordance with client specifications.
  • Supervise a team of managers and supervisors, indirectly overseeing up to 250 staff members.
  • Lead operational planning and labor forecasting initiatives.
  • Engage with clients to maintain strong operational relationships.
  • Provide guidance on labor cost management.
  • Take full ownership of business operations.
  • Ensure timely updates of reports.
  • Achieve contractual performance objectives.
  • Oversee logistics and yard planning operations.
  • Verify accuracy of customer contracts.
  • Manage accounts receivable for clients.

Supervisory Role

This position includes direct reports.

Work Environment

The work setting is typically well-lit and climate-controlled, encompassing both indoor office spaces and outdoor production areas.

Physical Requirements

This role involves light physical activity related to administrative and production tasks, requiring manual dexterity for handling various items.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role, primarily consisting of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

Travel Requirements

Minimal overnight travel may be required, estimated at up to 10%.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

A certificate from a fifth-year college program or two to four years of relevant experience is preferred, along with experience managing unionized employees.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in personal computer applications, including email, record-keeping, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC badge (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
