Key Responsibilities- Provide imaging services to patients while maintaining departmental expectations and standards.
- Articulate a clear understanding of data flow in and out of the modality work area.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve patient satisfaction and departmental performance.
- Seek opportunities to improve systems and services, ensuring a high level of patient care and satisfaction.
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity of equipment and ensuring patient safety.
- Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.
- Interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, following the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation, and Thank You).
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Radiography program graduates must obtain ARRT within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
- Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
This role requires a high level of physical activity, including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. The position also involves working in a healthcare facility with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
