Practical Nurse Responsibilities:
As a Practical Nurse, your role will include:
- Delivering bedside care to patients, ensuring their personal hygiene needs are met.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse.
- Collecting and documenting patient health information.
- Facilitating communication between patients, registered nurses, and physicians.
- Administering medications and injections as prescribed.
- Conducting blood sugar tests and urinary catheter care.
- Observing and reporting changes in patient conditions.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
- Providing guidance and support to ancillary staff.
- Upholding patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current LPN license in the state.
- Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a Long Term Care setting.
- Familiarity with MatrixCare is a plus.
