Job Summary

This role involves creating, packaging, and selling high-quality food items for a hospital's satellite food service. The successful candidate will be in charge of setting up the kiosk/coffee shop area, managing cash operations, controlling costs, analyzing customer purchase patterns, maintaining cleanliness during production and sales, as well as overseeing storage and cleanup tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling: Ensuring accurate transactions and providing excellent customer service, proficient in operating a cash register, maintaining accuracy with money handling, keeping the cash balance within acceptable limits, and interacting courteously with customers.
  • Coffee and Beverage Standards: Preparation of a variety of coffee beverages, equipment maintenance and cleanliness, awareness of coffee trends and customer preferences, efficient customer service, and personalizing service for regular customers.
  • Food and Displays: Daily setup and maintenance of food displays, understanding customer preferences for inventory management, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and displays, maximizing impulse purchases through creative displays, and collaborating with team members for effective operations.
  • Departmental Teamwork, Sales, and Additional Duties: Meeting and exceeding sales targets, coordinating with other departments, maintaining a good neighborhood environment around the Kiosk, collaborating with team members for operational efficiency, and ensuring kiosk readiness at the end of the shift.
Requirements
  • Proficient in using essential equipment.
  • May need to travel to other facilities/hospitals occasionally.
Qualifications
  • ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification IDPH/ANSI Food Handlers Certification within 30 days.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, oral communication).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
