Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant recognized by the APTA.
  • Current licensure and/or registration as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, adhering to state practice regulations.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in identifying suitable patients and making appropriate referrals for rehabilitation.
  • Accurately document patient progress in weekly notes and ensure timely co-signature by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Obtain necessary medical orders for treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with state guidelines.
