This critical diagnostic information will assist physicians in accurately diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform MRI scans using specialized equipment to capture detailed images of the body's internal structures.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
- Monitor and support patients throughout MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort in a confined, noise-controlled environment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review MRI images and assist in the interpretation of findings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging data and scan results, for physician review.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related field.
- Certification: Certified MRI Technologist (CMR) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
