Job Summary:

As an elite Firefighter/EMT, you will provide top-notch professional services to the residents of Orange Park.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergencies as part of a team, suppressing fires, rescuing victims, and providing medical care.
  • Preserve evidence to determine the cause of fires and conduct inspections to prevent incidents.
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and stations in good condition.
  • Participate in training activities and stay up-to-date with certifications and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • State of Florida Firefighter Certificate
  • State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician certification
  • Valid Florida Class D Driver's License
  • PREFERRED: Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course Certificate
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with firefighting practices, principles, and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public
  • Delivery of emergency medical care
  • Physical ability to perform hazardous tasks and maintain good working relationships
Work Environment:

This role requires exposure to hazardous conditions, strenuous physical activity, and potential traumatic or thermal injuries.

As a firefighter/EMT, you will work in challenging environments, making rapid decisions and performing complex tasks under high pressure.
