Job Summary

PROMAN Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled Hydronic Welder/Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, submerged arc, gas-shielded arc, MIG, and TIG machines.
  • Select the type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications, knowledge of system operation, and study of building plans/working drawings.
  • Secure pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper recording of time spent on individual work orders is accurate.
  • Keep the foreman and other key project personnel aware of all issues affecting production, schedule, and cost.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman.
  • Notify supervisor of equipment malfunction and perform operator-based maintenance as required.
Requirements
  • Must be certified to weld using material types such as black iron, stainless, and aluminum (Level II).
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with good organization skills and proven ability to initiate priorities based on general guidelines.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards.
