Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach ABE, GED, and ELA classes at the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and experience working with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach ABE, GED, and ELA classes to offenders housed at the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Participate in curriculum revision and program management activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality educational experience for students
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an academic subject area required; master's degree desired
  • Experience teaching in a correctional facility desired
  • Ability to interact with students and staff in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, temporary position located at the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and complete a 3-week corrections training program.
