Anthropology Instructor

Western Washington University is seeking qualified candidates for a temporary teaching position in the Department of Anthropology. This is a non-tenure track faculty position that will involve teaching lower division courses in the four subfields of anthropology.

This position is limited-term (non-tenure track) at the rank of Instructor for the duration of the quarter(s) specified. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory courses in anthropology, engage students actively in their own learning, and maintain high standards regarding course content. The candidate is also invited to participate in scholarly and/or creative activity and department activities.

• MA/MS in anthropology or other relevant discipline
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness in anthropology
• Demonstrated ability and commitment to cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds

PhD in anthropology or other relevant discipline
