About the Role

We are a leading full-service CPA firm in the Chicago area seeking a highly experienced Tax Director to join our team. As a Tax Director, you will play a key role in leading our tax practice and providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare complex tax returns for S-Corporations, Partnerships, C-Corporations, and ultra-high net worth individuals.
  • Prepare or review reconciliations and analyses for accounts as assigned and support external audits.
  • Research tax issues, review legislative developments, and assist in the analysis.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of staff and interns within our mentorship program.
  • Interact directly with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Company's US (federal) quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Contribute to client processes and technology improvements aimed at streamlining compliance and reporting.
Requirements
  • 14+ years of public accounting experience.
  • CPA is REQUIRED.
  • Already a Tax Director OR have held a Sr Manager title for at least 4 years.
  • Proven experience leading client engagements and overseeing Managers, Seniors, and Tax staff.
  • M.S. in Taxation is preferred.
