PRIDE Health is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 12-week assignment in Akron, Ohio.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, working 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. This travel opportunity offers a chance to work with a diverse patient population and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced critical care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, providing life-supporting interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory systems, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for optimization.
  • Administer medications, aerosol therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

A current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of Ohio.At least one year of experience working in critical care settings.Demonstrated expertise in respiratory therapy, including ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
