Medication Dispensing Nurse

We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team as a Medication Dispensing Nurse. This role plays a critical part in the treatment process, working in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors to dispense prescribed medications.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
  • Maintain dispensing equipment, manage medication inventory, and report patient treatment information.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances.
  • Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations.
  • Conduct daily assessments of patients and assist in orienting new nursing staff.
Qualifications:
  • Current LPN/LVN license in good standing in the State of Indiana.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • EMR and computer proficiency desired.
  • Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
