Job Summary
As a key member of our team at Universal Health Services, you will be responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls, coordinating all admissions processes, and serving as a liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit, and hospital personnel involved with each admission.
Responsibilities
Verify insurance, triage patients, complete assessments, and enter calls and admissions in the computer. Complete all admission paperwork with patients, effectively communicate with unit staff, and assist patients to the unit. Pre-certify with payor sources and follow hospital policies and procedures regarding admissions.
Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Licensure/Certification: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
Work Schedule
This position will be scheduled to work 7am - 7pm.
