HVAC Operations Specialist

Johnson Controls, a leading provider of HVAC and building automation solutions, is seeking a skilled and experienced Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. We are passionate about making a difference and creating purposeful solutions that propel the world forward.
We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity at the newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. This is a performance-based, 12-year, O&M contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding the manufacturing and production equipment. The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by assuring that equipment is performing to specifications to facilitate uninterrupted manufacturing and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in accordance with building codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
- Conduct performance tests and adjustments on HVAC systems to meet specified requirements.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues professionally.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid HVAC Mechanical Journeymen license.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanical Journeymen or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work on-call or during emergencies, as required.
