Mass General Brigham is a world-renowned medical facility seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiation Oncology team in Boston, Massachusetts.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced RN with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide professional, competent, and compassionate care to patients undergoing radiation therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of oncology nursing principles and practices, as well as experience working with pediatric and adult patient populations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient vital signs, monitoring for symptoms of radiation side effects, administering medications and infusions, and providing patient and caregiver teaching. They will also manage the recovery of patients post-radiation treatment, assist in mobilizing patients as needed, and collaborate with patients and their support systems to meet their individual needs and expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Assess patient vital signs and monitor for symptoms of radiation side effects
  • Administer medications and infusions, and provide patient and caregiver teaching
  • Manage the recovery of patients post-radiation treatment
  • Assist in mobilizing patients as needed
  • Collaborate with patients and their support systems to meet their individual needs and expectations
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • Previous experience in caring for pediatric and adult patient populations preferred
  • Specialty certification in oncology nursing preferred
  • Experience with clinical applications and health information technology (HIT) systems such as Epic preferred

Estimated Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
