Data Transport Circuit Logistics Lead

ValidaTek, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Data Transport Circuit Logistics Lead to oversee the end-to-end process of procuring, provisioning, and managing data transport circuits across various locations and service providers.
This role ensures that all data circuits are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the technical and business requirements of the organization.
The Data Transport Circuit Logistics Lead serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, service providers, and vendors, coordinating all logistics, planning, and communication associated with the deployment and management of network circuits in support of our customers worldwide software-defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN).
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the procurement process for new data transport circuits, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and cost management.
- Work with service providers to ensure timely provisioning and activation of data circuits.
- Coordinate with network architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements for circuits.
- Oversee the entire logistics process for circuit installation, from order placement to final delivery.
- Ensure that all physical and virtual logistics (e.g., shipping of equipment, software configuration, etc.) are properly managed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and service providers related to data transport circuits.
- Negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) and manage the performance of vendors to meet organizational standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including network operations, project management, and engineering, to coordinate the deployment of data circuits.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for circuit logistics.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by coordinating schedules, resources, and responsibilities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all circuit orders, configurations, and deployments.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of circuit inventory, including active, pending, and decommissioned circuits.
- Prepare and present reports to leadership on circuit performance, costs, and future needs.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to circuit logistics and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage escalations and resolve issues related to circuit delivery, activation, or performance in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with network operations and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve any circuit-related problems.
- Monitor and manage circuit costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Work closely with finance and procurement teams to track spending and ensure cost-efficient circuit management.
- Ensure that all data transport circuits comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
5+ years of experience provisioning and performing fulfillment and supplier management for delivery of information and communications technologies in a federal government contracting environment.
This includes local and long-distance phone service, voice and data circuits, cable and wireless-based data transport services.
This role does not require an active security clearance for consideration, however, you must be able to obtain DHS EOD suitability.
Proven experience in managing relationships with multiple vendors and service providers.
Experience with network infrastructure, WAN/LAN design, and circuit-related technologies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid understanding of telecom logistics, circuit provisioning processes, and service-level agreements.
Proficiency in using circuit management tools, telecom ordering systems, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
