Position Overview:

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior EPC Scheduler to oversee planning and scheduling functions during the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction timelines, ensuring timely identification of impacts and recovery strategies.
  • Conduct detailed reporting and analysis related to the EPC phase, utilizing P6 schedule quality metrics.
  • Support planning studies, forecasting, and optimization efforts throughout the EPC phase.
  • Guide engineering teams in the creation and maintenance of both high-level project schedules and detailed short-term schedules.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Management, and external partners, to integrate and sequence engineering activities into the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS) managed in Primavera P6.
  • Facilitate the establishment of cross-system and cross-project logic ties within the schedule.
  • Assist in negotiating transitions between stakeholders regarding technical content and timelines, while also coordinating workaround planning.
  • Lead the organization of engineering scope schedule fragments for planning and estimating purposes, ensuring their inclusion in the IMCS.
  • Oversee the implementation and application of schedule fragments to maintain consistency across the project.
  • Conduct project-level integrated reviews of planned work and compile three-week look-ahead activities for partners.
  • Review scheduled EPC phase activities to confirm alignment with project milestones.
  • Evaluate resource loading and leveling for the EPC phase schedule, including bulk commodity design and procurement.
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to assess the impact of progress changes on the schedule, recommending solutions to meet key milestones.
  • Develop contingency plans and recovery strategies in response to project delays and change requests.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with at least 19 years of professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 software.
  • Experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting schedule information within engineering, procurement, and construction settings.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer systems for executing work processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction management principles acquired through specialized training or practical experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated capability in planning, organizing, and presenting planning and scheduling outputs.
  • Ability to independently prepare and review planning products with minimal supervision, applying professional judgment and technical expertise.
Compensation:

The pay rate for this position is $75.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on various factors, including education, experience, job location, and specific responsibilities.
