Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro ICU at Princeton Baptist Medical Center provides direct clinical patient care to critically ill patients. The role assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The RN is responsible for supervising staff to which appropriate care is delegated and is accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis.
- Supervise staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).
