Position Overview
SGS & Co is in search of a Financial Analyst to support the Corporate Treasury division, reporting directly to the Treasury Manager. This division is tasked with overseeing daily cash management for the US and Canada, as well as global cash forecasting.

This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility in work location.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Accounts Payable to ensure efficient processing of daily payment transactions while adhering to all regulatory and company policies.
  • Initiate and verify wire and ACH transfers for various expenditures.
  • Analyze daily cash balances to assess cash availability and execute necessary cash transfers.
  • Maintain and enhance the global 13-week cash flow forecast, analyzing inputs from decentralized finance teams and determining cash activity drivers.
  • Work alongside the Financial Planning and Analysis Department to align annual budget assumptions with the global cash flow forecast.
  • Maintain effective relationships with various teams including Finance, Commercial, Legal, and Operations.
  • Provide insights on ongoing projects, conduct ad hoc analyses, and support special projects as directed by senior management.
Competency Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
  • An inquisitive mindset with a strong ability to analyze details and work with limited data.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental financial principles and practices.
  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness, with the ability to translate ambiguous requests into actionable plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of conveying information clearly to all levels of staff and management.
  • Effective task management skills, able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to define problems, gather data from various sources, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Educational & Experience Requirements

This position requires:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Treasury.
Physical and Travel Requirements

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regularly sitting, using hands for tasks, and communicating verbally.
  • Occasionally lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Travel may be required 1-2 times per year, but international travel is not necessary.
