Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Akahi Associates, LLC. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating the NIA 3T MRI scanner to perform structural and functional imaging and MR spectroscopy studies for NIA clinical research studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the NIA 3T MRI scanner to perform imaging and spectroscopy studies
  • Work closely with NIA clinical and basic research scientists to investigate age-related changes in various body systems
  • Ensure participant safety and comfort during scanning
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for MRI scans
  • Perform post-processing steps on acquired images and data
  • Transfer images and data to PACS and other databases
  • Assist in maintaining the smooth function of the facility
Deliverables
  • Work products and documents related to safety procedures and emergencies
  • Ad-hoc work products and documents related to equipment maintenance and malfunctions
  • Ad-hoc work products and documents related to scan logging and data transfer
  • Ad-hoc work products and documents related to scheduling and coordination
  • Ad-hoc work products and documents related to supply management and ordering
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a science-related discipline
  • Licensed as an MRI technologist in Maryland
  • Certification by the ARRT
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
