Mile Bluff Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic medical sonography examinations in various clinical specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, and vascular sonography.
  • Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure that sonography examination orders are complete and meet medical necessity standards.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
  • Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, and equipment adjustments to ensure patient comfort and safety during sonography examinations.
  • Apply independent judgment during sonography examinations to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in examination images.
  • Identify and document any limitations to sonography examinations and incidental findings that may impact patient safety or patient care.
  • Communicate sonography examination results to interpreting physicians and ensure that findings meet facility standards for Quality Assurance.
Requirements:
  • Two-year degree in ultrasound technology required; four-year degree preferred.
  • ARDMS certification required; registry in ABD and OB required within first year of employment.
  • 1+ years related work experience in general, OB, breast, and vascular sonography and interventional procedures strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
