Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Intern Grad at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Customer Experience:
  • Engage with customers and patients, providing assistance with products and services, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
  • Support efforts to enhance customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, such as patient consultation, medication management, and retail, clinical, or wellness services.
Operations:
  • Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
  • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
People & Performance Management:
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training.
  • Reinforce the direction of the Pharmacy Manager in staff performance by coaching, providing constructive feedback, and monitoring customer service.
  • Promote teamwork and motivate team members by establishing expectations, monitoring progress, and fostering a shared vision.
Training & Personal Development:
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy-related journals, company publications, and communications.
  • Obtain necessary certifications, education credits, and training as required by the Company.
  • Seek professional development by monitoring performance, soliciting constructive feedback, and leveraging the Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager as mentors and coaches.
