At Vaco, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Financial Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial reporting functions for our client in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
  • Accounting Operations: Lead the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth and timely audit process.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with FP&A teams to provide accurate financial projections, budgets, and forecasts that align with company objectives.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, working closely with external tax advisors.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within the insurance industry.
  • Skills & Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
