Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Wine Studies to join our faculty pool at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching wine-related courses and contributing to the development of our wine studies program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach wine-related courses, including wine appreciation, wine production, and wine business.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for wine studies courses.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in wine studies.
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Culinary Arts/Wine Studies.
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
  • OR - Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching wine-related courses.
  • Knowledge of wine production, wine business, and wine appreciation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
