We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Paramedic to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a Critical Care Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, utilizing protocols and online medical control to provide basic, advanced, and critical care life support for all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Provides primary patient care activities on transports approved to be at the CCT level by the EMS Medical Director
- Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to Florida CCT scope of practice, EMS Protocols, department policies and procedures
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate
- Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions
- Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public
- Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance to established safety standards
- 5 years of driving passenger vehicles
- One year of Advanced Life Support transport experience
- Current Paramedic license with State of Florida, Department of Health
- Successful completion of UMBC, University of Florida, or AdventHealth EMS Critical Care Paramedic curriculum
- Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, UF CCP, FP-C, CCP-C)
- Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
- Active Class E Florida Driver's License, or Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and driving record in accordance with FH policy
- American Heart Association - Basic life support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider
- American Heart Association - Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS)
- American Heart Association - Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification (NRP)
