We are seeking a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to provide exceptional care in a locum tenens capacity. This role involves working within a supportive team environment, focusing on both obstetric and gynecological services.
Key Details:- Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Job Type: Locum Tenens
- Facility Location: Jacksonville, NC
- Service Setting: Inpatient
- Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
- Coverage Type: Call Only
- Call Schedule: 24-hour Call - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - C-sections typically limited to 2 per day
- Rounding: Yes; Managed by Midwife on Weekends - CNM will also participate
- Physicians in Group: 4 in Call Pool
- Support Staff: 6 CNMs (on-call)
- Deliveries per Day: High day 10-11, low day 0-4
- Responsibilities: - Midwives will round on postpartum patients - Physician will primarily round on antepartum or gynecological patients, approximately 0-2 or consults - Provider will be called for challenging vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological consults
- EMR System: Meditech
- Benefits: Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
- Active North Carolina Medical License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
