The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the physical structure, appearance, and associated equipment of Hunters Run Country Club are in good working order. This includes performing preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishes, as well as maintaining a clean and safe workshop and workspace.
Key Responsibilities- Perform or assist in preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including light switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and ceiling fans
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems, including faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves, and water valves
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair carpentry, including cabinet repairs, wood and metal door and door hinges, closures, locksets, light furniture repairs, picture and mirror installation, shelving installation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair finishes, including small drywall repairs, priming, and final coats of paint with usage of brush, roller, or sprayer, wallpaper, textured surfaces
- Pressure clean buildings, walkways, cart paths, and assist in drain line jetting
- Drive a golf cart or company truck/van
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop, club, and workspace
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by Facilities leadership
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in all aspects of building maintenance and repairs preferred
- Experience in a Country Club and Hospitality maintenance a plus
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends
- Able to use all types of tools and equipment efficiently and safely
- Able to adapt to changing work priorities
- Able to communicate and work with a diverse group of people
- Valid driver's license
- Certifications in trades a plus
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to feel, handle, and operate; reach with hands and arms; and see, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, kneel, climb, crawl into small spaces, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs., use of step ladders, extension ladders, and 6ft scaffolding
Work EnvironmentJob consists of both inside and outside work. Precautions should be taken for work performed outside for extended periods of time
Additional CommentsMust be at least 18 years old and available to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to read, write, and speak in English well
