Job Summary:
Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound scanning equipment to produce high-quality images of the human anatomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy
- Work with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Certified or eligible for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S)
- Obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross-training
- Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology (preferred)
- Prior experience in ultrasound (preferred)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (preferred)
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working primarily on weekends, with occasional weekday shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
