Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

The Security Officer role is essential in safeguarding TPAC events and facilities, ensuring the well-being of patrons and staff by upholding departmental protocols and protecting our assets.

Primary Duties Include:

  1. Assisting in the management of all safety and security operations across TPAC venues.
  2. Providing a visible security presence to ensure the safety of guests and employees, including during events at various theaters.
  3. Conducting regular patrols of the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and inspecting access points to maintain a secure environment.
  4. Overseeing the TPAC Stage Door security, verifying the identity of clients, employees, and contractors.
  5. Staffing the Event Operations Center during events to facilitate smooth operations and interdepartmental cooperation.
  6. Enforcing the TPAC Safety Program, adhering to local fire codes, OSHA regulations, and providing basic first aid and CPR as needed.
  7. Conducting area security patrols to ensure all access points are secure, and providing relief for other security personnel when necessary.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or emergency services.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Tennessee Unarmed Officer License.
  • CPR/AED certifications.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Experience managing crowds and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Previous experience in venue security.
  • Bilingual abilities.
  • A passion for engaging with the public.

Tools and Technologies:

Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, and CCTV monitoring software.

Work Environment:

Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, navigate theater settings with varying lighting and sound conditions, and lift up to 20 lbs. TPAC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, ensuring a merit-based employment process free from discrimination.
