**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing technical service to vehicles and equipment, including trailers, trucks, and other heavy machinery.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment, including trailers, trucks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Read job orders, observe, and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trailers and adjust as needed.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
  • Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
  • Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
  • Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.
  • Make every effort to achieve production objectives set by management.
  • Adhere to manufacturer's policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and/or management.

**Requirements**

  • The knowledge and ability to repair various makes of trailers.
  • 2-5 years of experience at minimum.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge and ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealers and manufacturers standards.
  • Drive and responsibility to work independently.
  • Own their own tools.
  • Experience with Landoll, Ledwell, Trailer King, Brenner, and other brands of trailers is a MUST.
  • Experience with CAT, Detroit, Cummins, or International engines is a definite asset.
