Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including vegetables, proteins, and grains, using recipes as a guide and your own culinary expertise.
- Gain exposure to different kitchen stations, including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge, and delivery/packout.
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, sharing knowledge about current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients.
- Support the team during peak and off-peak service, pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
- Multitask and move efficiently in the kitchen, meeting the physical demands of the role.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality, adhering to DIG's Department of Health and food safety protocols.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect for colleagues, upholding DIG's anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.
- A genuine passion for real, good food and a desire to learn and grow as a chef.
- A strong work ethic, with the ability to execute tasks efficiently and effectively.
- The physical ability to perform the demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
