We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Nu Grace Family Care in San Bernardino, CA. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals.
- Encourage residents to do as much of their own care as possible, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Serve meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus.
- Monitor and record residents' eating habits, reporting any changes to the supervisor.
- Initiate and participate in leisure activities provided for residents, encouraging socialization and participation in planned activities or programs.
- Maintain residents' records daily, documenting medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist residents with medication administration, following physician orders and state laws.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping and following cleaning schedules.
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/FA, 1 & 2 certification within 6-12 months of hire
- HC Registration
- Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, senior citizens, or challenging behaviors
- Valid in-state driver's license, current registration, and insurance, with a driving record of no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
