Senior Software Engineer

Transform the way we work with ServiceNow, a global market leader in AI-enhanced technology. As a Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Dev, you'll play a key role in building high-quality, scalable, and reusable code that enforces best practices in software engineering architecture and processes.

Work closely with product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design to delivery. Implement software that's simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs.

Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite. Be a mentor for colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
  • Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

Experience with multiple technology stacks, including Cloud Dev, Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks, or service-oriented architecture. Capability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk across teams and processes.

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $163,000 - $285,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
