Home Health Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Neogen Care in Bakersfield, CA. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, promoting independence and improving quality of life.
About the Role
This is a part-time/full-time opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to work with patients in their homes, developing personalized treatment plans to address physical and psychological needs. You will assess patient home and work environments, advising on adaptive equipment and developing rehabilitation programs to help patients regain lost skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy from a university certified by the ACOTE or AOTA.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification.
- Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
- Ability to take care of patients with different personalities.
- Ability to assess patient condition and work with treatment plans.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent Occupational Therapy experience in an institutional setting.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent Occupational Therapy experience with a home health agency.
- Valid/Current State of California Occupational Therapy license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Must be a licensed driver with vehicle, in good working order, that is currently registered and insured in accordance with state and Neogen Care requirements.
- Strong skills in observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, basic math, and basic computer skills to manage email, texts, employment record self-service, etc.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including dictation charting, higher work/life balance, and mileage reimbursement.
