Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our Cath Lab team at Christus Health. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for operating all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment, performing duties such as scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation, and digital processing as indicated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Assure the quality and acquisition of Cardiac Cath digital images.
  • Position the cath lab table and set angles.
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing equipment, catheters, and medications, and ensuring everything is sterile.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic data by keeping a close eye on patients' heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment using fluoroscopy machines and other imaging devices to capture clear images of the heart and blood vessels.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and prepare the catheterization suite. Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for procedures.
  • Educate patients about catheterization procedures by explaining the procedure to patients beforehand and answering any questions they have.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree preferred.
  • 1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license in the state of employment is required.
  • BLS required.
  • ARRT preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
