Position Summary:
We are currently looking for part-time dietitians to become integral members of our healthcare team. One of the positions requires proficiency in both Spanish and English. The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to assist patients in achieving their nutritional and lifestyle objectives while enhancing their overall health markers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate individuals with complex health issues and develop personalized nutrition plans based on whole foods while respecting their current lifestyle.
- Adopt a comprehensive approach to care by identifying the underlying causes of health issues and creating actionable plans to enhance the client's well-being.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of lifestyle medicine, focusing on critical areas such as sleep, hydration, stress management, nutrition, and physical activity.
- Deliver tailored diabetes and nutrition education and counseling to patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate customized care strategies.
- Monitor and assess patients' progress in managing their health conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- If certified as a CDCES or pump trainer, conduct training sessions for various insulin pump systems.
- Analyze continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data and provide recommendations to patients and their care teams to optimize blood sugar levels and HbA1c.
Qualifications:
- Must possess the necessary education and licensure to practice in Arizona, with additional multistate licensing being advantageous.
- Experience in health coaching and patient education is essential.
- Proficient in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Strong understanding of physiology, particularly in relation to diabetes management.
- Ability to guide patients on appropriate nutrition strategies for diabetes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Exhibit patience, compassion, and flexibility to support clients in their health journeys.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work location, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule.
Compensation:
Compensation starts at $40.00 per hour for clinical duties, with a separate administrative rate for charting and team meetings.
