Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to join our team at Kamatics Corporation. As a CNC Machinist III, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Check out programming, set up, operate and adjust semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
• Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings.
• Perform operations that may include drilling, honing, boring, milling and turning, screw machine operation, etc., on routine and repetitive operations.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
• Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
• Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED.
• Machining Training Certificate preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist II or minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience as a CNC machinist.
• Understanding of Common GD&T restraints such as runout, concentricity, and Parallelism.
• Proficient in use of shop math.
• Limited technical supervision.
• Requires knowledge of machining techniques such as cutting jaws, touching tools off and tramming fixtures.
• Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures such as dry run, geometry and wear offsets, MDI functions and basic G codes.
