Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical team at Sovah Health - Danville. Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as needed.
  • Document patient care and communicate effectively with the care team, physicians, and patients.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
  • Evaluate patient learning needs and provide education to promote health and well-being.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or compact state required.
  • Graduate of a professional nursing program required; can practice as a RN applicant per Virginia Department of Health guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision required.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association certification required.
  • Telemetry: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association certification required, or obtained within six months of hire.
