We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team at Environmental Design International. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and their employees by providing expert services in industrial hygiene, asbestos, and lead-based paint activities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to industrial hygiene, asbestos, and lead-based paint activities.
- Perform on-site inspections for environmental and industrial hygiene hazards in commercial and public buildings.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports in accordance with EDI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide technical assistance and support for EDI projects, including project design support, site work plan support, air sampling expertise, and general industrial hygiene department support.
- Prepare detailed technical written reports providing results of industrial hygiene services.
- Prepare detailed written proposals for services as directed or requested.
- Review project reports for compliance with the EDI quality assurance/quality control SOP.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences, biology, or other earth sciences from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of four years of environmental/industrial hygiene experience or the equivalent thereof.
- State-specific licensure in industrial hygiene related disciplines, including asbestos and lead licensure.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to loud noises and outdoor weather conditions. Travel within the greater Midwestern states and east coast states is possible to service client and project needs.
