POSITION SUMMARY
This role operates under the guidance of the Program Director, focusing on the clinical oversight and performance management of designated direct service personnel. The Clinical Team Leader collaborates closely with the licensed clinical director and aids in the comprehensive development of the program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This leadership role is characterized by its at-will nature within the program framework. The incumbent is tasked with the daily management of assigned personnel who execute the program's established functions. This position encompasses all aspects of the management process within the designated program.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Delivering individualized clinical supervision and support to team members, ensuring effective service delivery to clients on their caseloads.
- Intervening promptly during crises to mitigate issues and alert relevant parties for resolution.
- Providing immediate counseling that aligns with the program's philosophy and supports team members.
- Ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of program participants.
- Completing assigned documentation punctually.
- Supervising subordinate staff to guarantee timely and effective service delivery and task completion.
- Maintaining accountability for work hours and time management in coordination with the Program Director.
- Facilitating at least one group session weekly.
- Offering assistance to colleagues as necessary.
- Supporting participants in Mental Health Court.
- Leading team meetings and participating in agency meetings unless otherwise authorized by the Program Director.
- Monitoring the productivity of supervised staff, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and meets agency standards.
- Assisting the Program Director in addressing staff training requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
A typical pathway to acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities includes obtaining a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of diverse experience in mental health service provision and at least one year of supervisory or management experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration.
- Reliable transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspections if older than five years, excluding two-wheeled transport modes.
- Eligibility for licensure/registration with BBS or the California Board of Psychology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Preferred candidates will have graduated from an accredited institution with a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, holding full licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC verified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), along with varied experience in mental health service provision.
