Job Title: Service Advisor

About the Role:

Tuscaloosa Chevrolet is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for greeting customers, addressing their automotive concerns, and communicating with our Service Technicians to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and address their automotive problems to determine the necessary repair, service, or maintenance issues.
• Learn from the customer about their vehicle's issues and convey those needs to the Service Technicians.
• Keep customers informed about their service progress and explain what was done and when the next need for service should be expected.
• Conduct inspections, take test drives, and examine service schedules to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
• Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
• Provide customers with in-depth information about available part options and advise them about warranty protections and potential cost savings.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Help customers decide between trading in a car and fixing it through our shop.
• Manage and oversee the service center's workflow and scheduling.
• Call customers to inform them of changes in service or to let them know their vehicle is ready for pick-up.

Requirements:

• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate equally well with mechanics, customers, and senior management.
