Construction Estimator

Job Summary

Pinhero Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed take-off construction estimates, analyzing projects on a pre-bid basis, and negotiating new work with established clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and New Customer Outreach
Potential client meeting and relationship building
Source project leads avenues
Visit site locations to determine the scope of work
Prepare detailed take-off construction estimates
Analyze projects on a pre-bid basis for strengths and weaknesses
Obtain pricing from the competitive bid market and accurately qualify bids received
Create labor and material take-offs for our in-house division for internal work
Work with Project Coordinators to negotiate new work with established clients
Perform estimating with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and company personnel
Determine creative ways to keep costs down, ensuring goals and objectives are met
Communicate regularly with Project Coordinators to ensure project success
Maintain a database of subcontractors and material vendors

Requirements

Proficient in Excel and data entry
Electronic take-off of construction drawings
Create scope of work and hand scratches from job walks
Procore experience preferred
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Commitment and professionalism
Detail-oriented and organized
Highly motivated, self-starter
