Job Summary

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a variety of conditions, including arthritis, back and neck pain, injuries, and conditions affecting function and mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess patients' physical status and functional mobility
  • Develop and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients
  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care in a hospital-based outpatient clinic
  • Document and bill services accurately and in accordance with departmental guidelines
  • Supervise and mentor students, PTAs, and support staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred
  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy License required
  • Years of clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
  • APTA membership recommended

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate interpersonal skills, including communication, flexibility, time management, independence, teamwork, and maturity
  • Must be willing and able to work effectively with a wide variety of patients with acute and long-term disability
  • Must be capable of treating independently
  • Must be able to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients, supplies, and equipment
  • Must be capable of providing physical therapy intervention throughout the life span
